Frida and the Horses

Last Thursday we got together with my friend and former colleague Marjie. She and I taught at the same school and were both pregnant at the same time during our last year there. Charlotte and Caroline were born within a week of each other. Marjie has moved out to Concord, so we don't see each other often, but it's always lovely to catch up when we do.

One thing Charlotte wanted to do this summer was visit the Frida Kahlo exhibit at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Since Marjie is a Spanish teacher, I thought the exhibit might interest her as well. Some of the paintings were not quite appropriate for the children among us, so it was nice to visit with friends and be slightly distracted at certain times.

It was too cold to picnic outside like we had planned, so we enjoyed our picnic in the Metreon. We finished our outing with a ride on the carousel.
