We have a new cousin!
We are very pleased to announce that our cousin Hannah Elizabeth was born yesterday. We will refer you to her brother Matthew for the details.
See the photo below to see how happy we are. Actually, we are probably happier than we look, but this is the happiest recent photo that Mummy has of the two of us.

What we're not so happy about is having to wait until August to meet Hannah. We have so many plans and so many things to teach her. Here's just a sample of what we have in mind:

Dancing Queen
Every year our school has a performing art teacher work with every class. Last year we studied drama and finished the year by performing a play. This year we had two dance teachers. Here is part of one of the dances we learned.
More will be added soon.

AcroBoy
As much as I loved my soccer class, when it finished I decided to take another class at AcroSports. I love the trampoline and the trapeze and the rope swing and all the things we get to climb on and jump off.
For our last day we had a special treat: the zip line! I was a little bit nervous, but it was so much fun.

Then we did a "show" for our parents. Really it was an obstacle course that incorporated many of the things we did during the "Tumblers" class. I was going to share the video, the file turned out too big. Instead, here's a video of us ribbon dancing during an earlier class. Who knew what a great time that could be?

A first grader no more
Today was my last day of school. Well, it was supposed to be my last day of school, but I was sick. I was sick yesterday as well. So Friday was technically my last day of school. We had our school picnic at Golden Gate Park that day. It started out cloudy and we thought it might rain, but it ended up being a hot, sunny day. Here is a photo of me with my new friend Maria. She moved here from Brazil just a few months ago.

First grade was fun, but it was hard work. I am ready for a break! I am going to miss my friends this summer, but it sounds like I will be very busy.

Now I'm really a big kid
You might remember that I went to big-kid preschool this year in addition to my preschool co-op. Last week I had my last day of big-kid preschool. I'll actually have my graduation later this month.

I have grown up a bit in the last year. I remember Miss Kimberly's name now, and I even carry my books like a big kid. As I keep telling Mummy, I am ready for Kindergarten now!
