Flowers and Butterflies

Last Thursday we visited the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park. It is hard to believe that after all these years we had never been inside the conservatory. The flowers are beautiful. There are several varieties of orchids, some of them very large.














The children were especially excited to see the Butterfly Zone, which is a special exhibit through November 2nd. Charlotte was disappointed that no butterfly landed on her, but was very excited to see so many butterflies and to see them so close.


We didn't have quite enough time to head to the playground afterward, so we let the children burn off some energy in the gardens in front of the conservatory. They ran many races around the flower beds.


They each took a photo of Julian and me. I was just going to post the one I preferred, but then I realized that someone would notice a photo missing. So here are two perspectives on Mummy and Daddy in the garden:
