Another October holiday

Alexander said, "Christmas is taking too long," with a frown on his face. I reminded him that we have not even celebrated Thanksgiving yet. He responded by saying, "Well then, Thanksgiving is taking too long," with an even bigger frown.

He really does not realize what it takes to makes these holidays happen. In fact, I'm a couple holidays behind, just posting our Columbus Day (Fleet Week) pictures today. We do get excited to see and hear the Blue Angels flying overhead, and cannot resist walking up to Alta Plaza Park to watch the show.

It seems to be the same show every year, but it's still fun to watch. It's fun to join the excited crowd. It's often a beautiful sunny day.

We enjoy watching the children run around and have fun, and seeing their excitement every time a plane goes by.

This year they also befriended a dog who was mesmerized by a groundhog popping its head out of a hole in the ground. (Those who have witnessed Charlotte's dog phobia in action will realize what a big deal this was.)

It's fun to spend time as a family!

Now I think I'll go write some Christmas cards and order some presents from Amazon. Christmas will be here before we know it!
