These are bits of actual conversations that took place in the last few days.
Alexander: Barack Obama is going to win.
Me: Oh, how do you know?
Alexander: They said so on the TV.
Alexander: Washington is broken.
Me: Really? Where did you hear that?
Alexander: They said it on the TV.
Alexander: Coca-Cola makes you strong for the Olympics.
Me: You think so?
Alexander: Yeah, I heard it on the TV.
He doesn't watch that much TV, but obviously what he hears sinks in. I think Julian and I need to make a DVD that will replay everything we have said that Alexander has chosen not to hear!
