...playing at Alta Plaza Park with Charlotte a few years ago when our friend Krysia was living in San Francisco. The kids have grown quite a bit since then, but they have not forgotten her. They recently asked when we can go to Poland to visit "Klysia néni".
...ringing in 2008 with my friend Emma at Kati and Matt's New Year's Eve party in Cleveland. Emma and I went to high school together and lived together for about a year after I returned from Australia.
...with Alexander by the fire on our camping trip in Santa Rosa a couple years ago. We haven't taken the children camping as often as I went as a child, but they have been twice and are already looking forward to going this summer again.
...congratulating my friend Angus at his and Meg's wedding reception last September in San Francisco. We wish we could have been in Sydney for his other reception!
