Sunshine and Ice

With all the rain we have had during this Christmas season, I was worried that we would not be able to go ice skating this year. Monday was supposed to be a nice day, so I decided to take the children ice skating. It turned out to be a beautiful day. We bundled up out of habit, but some people were skating in just t-shirts.

We have not been skating since the first time we went two years ago. This time we only had one adult for the two children who needed help. I worried that it wouldn't work. Fortunately they were willing to take turns with me. One would skate along the wall while the other would skate in the center with me. Then we would switch. At times I was holding both of them up. All those lessons at Winterhurst skating rink must have taught me something.

And every time the children were tired, I took advantage of the break to skate around on my own. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it! I hope it's not another two years before we skate again.

Oh I had so much fun the time we went 2 years ago, when when Ethan pulled me so fast I fell down!

Want to skate again soon, I would love to try out http://winterlodge.com/ in Palo Alto.

Lets reschedule our lunch soon, I was so sorry that I had to postpone over the holidays but you really wouldn't have like to catch what I had!
Hugs,
Leona
